Privacy Policy

Giving Steward helps churches notice changes in recurring giving and care for the people behind them. This policy explains what information we handle, why, and the choices you have.
Who this covers
- Church users — staff and volunteers who create an account.
- Givers — people whose giving records a church brings into Giving Steward. The church controls that data; we process it on the church's behalf.
- Website visitors — anyone who browses our site or sends us a message.
Information we collect
- Account details: name, email address, church name, role and timezone.
- Giving data a church uploads or syncs (for example from Planning Center or a CSV file): giver names, contact details, gift history and recurring schedules.
- Notes, care tasks and outreach messages your team writes in the app.
- Contact form messages: your name, email, church and message.
- Basic technical data such as browser type and pages visited, used to keep the service secure and working.
How we use it
- To run the service: detect giving changes, show findings, and send emails your team approves or sets to send automatically.
- To draft suggested messages and screening suggestions with AI. Suggestions stay suggestions until your team acts on them.
- To send account emails such as sign-in links, invitations and task reminders.
- To respond to your questions and improve Giving Steward.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use giver data for advertising.
Sharing
We share information only with service providers that help us run Giving Steward, such as hosting, email delivery and AI processing, under agreements that protect it. If a church connects Planning Center, we exchange data with Planning Center as that church directs, including pastoral notes. We may disclose information if required by law.
Security and retention
Data is encrypted in transit, connection tokens are encrypted at rest, and each church's data is kept separate from every other church. We keep data while an account is active. A church can ask us to delete its data at any time.
Your choices
- Givers can unsubscribe from any outreach email using the link in that email.
- Givers who want to see, correct or remove their information should contact their church, which controls it. We'll help the church respond.
- Church users can update their account details in Settings or contact us to close their account.
Children
Giving Steward is meant for church staff and is not directed to children under 13.

If we make material changes, we'll update this page and the date above.
